How to Fix Disputed/Incorrect Bills
Call Vai, dialing the phone number before the payment deadline if you think your bill is incorrect, and we would be happy to provide you a prompt explanation—in writing if you’d like one. After the reason, the bill must be paid within seven days. If you’re not going to agree, you can pay while objecting. To do this, write us a letter that includes your name, account number, the date the bill was sent, the error’s description and amount, and a justification for your continued belief that the statement is incorrect. If you are a utility customer, you can mail a copy to the Hawai’i Public Utilities Commission, 465 S. King Street, Suite 103, Honolulu, HI 96813.
In the state of Hawaii, Hawaiʻi Gas has been the sole franchised gas provider since 1904. Over the years, we have created a highly qualified workforce on every major island, erected gas pipeline infrastructure, and constructed bulk storage facilities with harbor access. In Hawaii, gas energy plays a vital role in our fuel mix by offering consumers in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors a less expensive and cleaner alternative.
